Did you know, George, how much we idolised you, loved you, dreamed of being you or even just meeting you? Did you realise how revered you were by those you left behind, those whose drab, daydream-filled lives you transcended by virtue of your blessedness, your mesmerising genius and transfixing glamour? I doubt it. I suspect it never even crossed your mind.
